Preparing for Death: A Workshop

Practical Advice and Spiritual Wisdom for the End of Life
Saturdays, September 30, October 14, November 18, and December 2

Registration at 9:45a.m.

Fee: $375 (includes lunch, vegan options available)
Ani Palmo Rybicki, Facilitator

Are you ready for death? We all know it is coming, yet none of us know when. Are you mentally and spiritually prepared? Are your legal affairs in order? Do you know how best to help a loved one who is dying? All of these questions and more will be addressed in this four-day workshop with Buddhist nun, Ani Palmo Rybicki.

We will be practicing mindfulness meditation, contemplating impermanence, and investigating notions about what happens after death, among other spiritual matters. On the practical side, we will look into making a living will, working with hospice, planning funerals, managing grief and more. In addition, we will be addressing how best to help our loved ones through this difficult time.

This is an intensive program meant to get you well on the way towards having everything in place for your death. Participants are therefore required to attend all four sessions and to commit to readings and other work at home in between sessions.

Each session will include spiritual discussion, practical exercises, meditation, and lunch (vegan options available).
